Shipping Volumes in E-Commerce

For online sellers trading between Türkiye and Europe, whether sourcing from Türkiye or selling from Türkiye into European markets, shipment volumes rarely stay the same from one week to the next; a promotion can mean several pallets in a single week, followed by only a few cartons the next. Goods may be sent to a marketplace fulfilment centre, to a European partner or directly to a retailer, and whatever the volume, the customs paperwork has to be complete for every shipment.

Once shipments reach several pallets without filling a truck, part load transport is usually the better fit, as the pallets travel on the same vehicle as other shippers' goods and there is no need to book an entire truck.

Customs and Transit

Transit declarations are opened at our authorised consignor facilities in Çatalca or Kapıkule, and for goods bound for Nuremberg or Ratingen the declaration is also closed at our own facilities there, which are authorised consignees. The steps are explained on the customs and transit page, and where stock needs to move on to other European countries after arrival, our intra-EU transport service is also available.
