Key Considerations in Food Shipments
Packaged and dry food, confectionery and canned goods usually move between Türkiye and Europe on pallets, often on a fixed schedule. As buyers plan their stock around the delivery date, a load leaving on the agreed day is important, and depending on the product group, food imports into the EU also require additional documents that must travel with the goods.
Regular Full-Load Shipments
Where an order fills a vehicle, full load transport is the simplest option, with the truck carrying only that shipper's goods and the loading and delivery points planned around the shipper's requirements. Smaller orders can travel as part load.
Transit declarations are opened at our authorised consignor facilities in Çatalca or Kapıkule, and the process is described on the customs and transit page.
Products with Special Requirements
Where goods need a set temperature range or other special handling, this should be discussed with our team before the shipment is planned, so that the product and the route can be assessed together and the available options identified.
